My whole family doesn’t get video games. My sister clings to the old ’80s notion that gamers are 12 year old boys who need to grow up. This is born out of ignorance. The sad thing is they’re missing out on such incredible experiences.

Agreed. One only needs to play the StarCraft series to appreciate how right you are: but getting people to do such a thing when they believe that ‘gamers are 12-yo boys’ is a virtual impossibility.

Most definitely. One of the happiest moments of my life was getting my sister to see real beauty in a video game.
